Willie Guido DeAngelis, 100, of Brackenridge, passed away peacefully hours after family and friends shared in a 100th birthday celebration filled with love, laughter, and the presence of the family he cherished so deeply. What an incredible blessing it was for him to be surrounded by so much love, celebrating a full century of a life so beautifully lived. He was born April 25, 1926, in Brackenridge to the late Cesare and Maria (Mattioli) DeAngelis. Willie was a 1944 graduate of Har-Brack High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He retired from PPG Industries, Creighton, where he worked as a Senior Production Engineer. Willie was a member of Guardian Angels Parish in Natrona Heights and the Brackenridge American Legion Post 226. Willie enjoyed woodworking, bricklaying, making stained glass and doing anything with his hands. Willie is survived by his children, James T. DeAngelis (Marcia Malesick), of Hermitage, Gerald G. (Carol) DeAngelis, of Freeport, John E. (Debbie) DeAngelis, of Allison Park, Jeffrey A. (Karen) DeAngelis, of Canton, Ohio, Judy M. (Mark) Thimons, of Natrona Heights and Jennifer A. (David) Boerner, of Smyrna, Ga., 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in death by his wife, Irene S. (Groszkiewicz) DeAngelis on May 28, 2022, brothers Raymond DeAngelis and infant James DeAngelis, and by his sister, Ann Capriotti. Willie had a remarkable life, and his family considers it a privilege to have called him ours.

The family would like to thank AHN Hospice Care team members Larry, Alexis, Amanda and Hannah for the love and respect they have shown to Dad.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a parting prayer service will be held on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 Noon in Most Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial with full military honors will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Willie may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
