Virginia A. Woods

Jun 5, 1953 — Nov 2, 2026

Sarver

Virginia A. "Gina" (Anthony) Woods, 73, of Winfield Township, (Sarver) went home to be in the arms of her Lord & Savior on Monday, November 2, 2026 and the world became a little less bright. Though she left us physically, the warmth of her love remains woven into the lives of everyone she touched. Born June 5, 1953, in Erie to the late Alvin and Charlotte (Bernhardt) Anthony Sr.. Gina was a graduate of BC3 and Point Park colleges. She worked hard at her lifelong career for many years at Allegheny Valley Hospital as an E.K.G. Technician and in Radiology Transcription. Her heart for missions and love for the Lord, made her lead by example as an active member of Zion United Methodist Church in Sarver. There she spent several years as president of the United Methodist Women group. She had a passion for organizing Mission works for the church, and preached to anyone who would listen about the "Awesome God" she knew and loved so well. Her legacy isn't written in trophies or titles, but in the countless quiet moments of kindness and unshakable faith she offered to family, friends, neighbors, and strangers. Gina loved animals. Her dog Buddy and cats Leo & Smokey held special places in her heart. She leaves behind a family who will miss her every single day: Gina's children, Michael P. Woods (Carrie) and Corie Elizabeth Anne (Michael) Roberts, grandchildren, Dylan Michael Woods and Isaac Andrew Woods (Holly Slee) Austin Michael Dick and Journie Raiyne Dick, great grandchildren, Jaxon and Georgia, brothers, Joseph (Linda) Anthony and Alvin Anthony Jr. and by her sister, who lovingly helped aid in her care and her many needs during her final years Lucinda Sobol. In addition to her parents, she has reunited in peace with her her husband, George A. Woods Jr on July 17, 2015 and her twin sister, Sharon Slike who were undoubtedly waiting for her with open arms.

In lieu of donations to Gina's funeral costs, any monetary donations Gina would love to see go in her memory to: Zion Methodist Community Church Missions 438 Bear Creek Rd. Sarver Pa, 16055. And if you cannot afford to give, Gina would ask that you give your life to Christ and meet her on the everlasting shore. John 14:6
