Victoria B. (Chwala) Ozimek

Victoria B. (Chwala) Ozimek, 101, of Natrona Heights, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the home of her son, Lawrence, in Buffalo Township. She was born December 15, 1916, in New Cumberland, West Virginia to the late John and Magdalena Rubis Chwala. During WWII, Victoria worked at Allegheny Ludlum Steel and later did housekeeping for the E.J. Hanley family. She was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Parish, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Natrona Heights, the Rosary Society and Fellowship Circle of the church and the C.D.of A. Victoria was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, especially the Pirates and also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, attending all of their activities. She is survived by her son, Lawrence (Shirley) Ozimek, of Buffalo Township; grandchildren, Nicole Keys, Darryl (Cynthia) Ozimek and Kevin Ozimek; and by her great grandchildren, Jerod, Amanda and Justin Keys and Evan Ozimek. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the parents who raised her, Ludwick and Julia Kaczor; her husband, John A. Ozimek who died on February 2, 2004; great granddaughter, Charlotte Ozimek; and by her brothers, Joseph, Anthony and Valentine Chwala.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 3-7 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a blessing service will be held on Monday at 9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church with her pastor the Rev. John B. Lendvai as celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
