Sylvia (Gnatowski) Sells, 88, of Sarver, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. She was born on December 24, 1937, in Natrona, the daughter of the late Valerian and Catherine (Jakobowski) Gnatowski.
Sylvia was a devoted member of Guardian Angels Parish in Natrona Heights and an active member of the American Legion Post 683 Auxiliary. She found joy in baking for those she loved and cheering on Pitt basketball.She is survived by her husband, Joseph Sells; her sons, Joseph (Terrie) Sells of Sarver and Kevin (Stefanie) Sells of Greentree; her grandchildren, Jude, Emma, and Jamie; and her sisters, Theresa Ziemianski and Rose Marie (Joseph) Zawioski.In addition to her parents, Sylvia was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Jo (Sells) Gonzales; her brothers, Stanley and Henry; and her sisters, Veronica Balash and Marcella Gnatowski.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. at Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights. Everyone is asked to meet at the church. Interment will be private.
