Sharon L. (Jones) Vorp

Sharon L. (Jones) Vorp, 67, of Natrona Heights, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017 in UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless, with her family at her side. She was born October 19, 1950, in Natrona Heights to the late Blaine and Lillian Wolfarth Jones. She was of the Lutheran faith and a member of the Eastern Star. Sharon was a devoted mother who enjoyed baking, cooking, family vacations at the Outer Banks, and watching her son's soccer games. She is survived by her two sons, Bryan (Kira) Vorp and Brad (Becky) Vorp, both of Pittsburgh; brother, Robert (Annette) Jones of Fawn Township; and by her sisters, Susan (Andy) Young, of Vandergrift and Judith Gleinn, of Natrona Heights. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, William Dean Vorp on August 14, 2017; and by her brother-in-law, Lawrence Gleinn.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4, 6-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where funeral ceremonies will be held on Friday at 11 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Greg Spencer. Burial will follow in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
