Ronald D. McElhattan, 83, of Lower Burrell passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Monday, July 28, 2025. He was born June 18, 1942, in New Bethlehem to the late Roger and Dorothy (Polliard) McElhattan. Ronald was a truck driver for Harts Department Store and later on Saul's Lumber. He was an usher and member of the Holiday Park Bible Church. In his free time Ronald enjoyed traveling, camping, spending time with his family and was known for his love of animals.
Ronald was survived by his wife of 51 years Roberta (Montgomery) McElhattan, daughters, Renae Jefferies, of Tarentum, Rachel (John) Buckham, of Buffalo Township and Brooke McElhattan, of Lower Burrell, Grandchildren Brian Jefferies, Dominick Jefferies, Cheyenne Buckham, and Myla Buckham. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Ronald is preceded in death by his brother Harold G. McElhattan and sister Myrna Rugh.
Friends will be received on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 2-4 p.m., 6-8 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a funeral service will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Brian Lott. Burial will follow in Leatherwood Cemetery, Porter Township.
