Ronald Hoover

Ronald Hoover Sr., 80, of Natrona Heights, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. He was born August 10, 1945 in Tarentum to the late George and Evelyn (Thompson) Hoover. Ronald was a 1963 graduate of Tarentum High School. He retired after 40 years at Allegheny Ludlum, working as a payloader in the 8-3 department. He was a member of the former VFW Post 5758 and the Kosciuszko Polish Patriotic Social Society(BoomBooms).

Ron will be remembered for the little things that made him unforgettable. Family and friends could always count on being greeted with his signature "Yo!" and, if the moment was right, the infamous "Papa dance." In his free time, Ronald, enjoyed listening to music especially oldies, playing games of skill, watching his kids and grandkids play sports, taking walks with his grandkids, and watching Pittsburgh sports while taking an occasional nap with the famous Hoover headhold.

 Ronald is survived by his wife of 61 years Kathy, (Walsh) Hoover, children, Ronald Hoover Jr., of Phoenix, AZ,  Melissa Stivers (James P. Stivers), of Sarver and Andrew (Michaelene) Hoover, of Tarentum, grandchildren Matthew Richards, Zack (Vanessa) Hoover, Rachel Hoover, Mckenzie Hoover, Alec Stivers, Ashlee (Jeffrey) Gumkowski, Katie (Jessie) Stivers, James Stivers, Bryce Hoover, Addison Hoover, great grandchildren, Theo, Rowan, Jace, Madelyn, sister in law Cindy Vrabel, and brother in law, George (Connie) Walsh.In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his siblings, George, Regis, Pete , Conrad, Ruth Miller, and Lois Hetrick.

Services for Ronald were private. Arrangements are under the care of the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688.
