Robert (Bobby) L. Long II

Robert (Bobby) L. Long II, 77, of Lower Burrell, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, Saturday, August 8, 2026. He was born September 13, 1948 in New Kensington to the late Robert and Goldie (Keleel) Long. Robert spent his career as a commercial truck driver, driving truck for Burrell Construction, Uni First, Source One and Nutritional Group. He was a United States Air Force veteran having served from 1966-1970, serving in the Vietnam war from 1968-1969. He was also a volunteer firefighter and a life member of VFW Post 92 and American Legion Post 868 in Lower Burrell. He was an amazing father and attentive grandfather. In his free time he enjoyed socializing with friends, playing softball, golfing, fishing, hunting and camping. He also enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates, golf and westerns. 

Robert is survived by his former wife and longtime caregiver, Claudia (Garvey) Long, daughters, Cybil (Richard) Miller, of Indiana Township, and Cortney (Jason) Montgomery, of Lower Burrell; 6 grandchildren, Ciera Miller, Jacob Miller, Caelan Miller, Joshua Miller, Cade Montgomery, and Tegan Montgomery; sister, Patricia (Ferando "Babe") Polimadei. In addition to his parents Robert was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mohammed and Fatima Keleel, brothers Daniel Long and Robert Long I in infancy. Robert will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
