Robert J. Kepes, 77, of Fawn Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, May 19, 2025 at his home. He was born June 17, 1947, in Natrona Heights to the late Louis and Helen (Biciolis) Kepes. Robert proudly served his country during the Vietnam War with the United States Army stationed in Germany. After earning his Engineering Drafting degree at Penn State University he started his working career with A.P. Green in Tarentum, later working at ALCOA in New Kensington earning his Maintenance Mechanic certification and retired in 2006 as a millwright from Allegheny Ludlum Steel in Brackenridge. Robert was a member of Guardian Angels Parish Natrona Heights Campus and the American Legion Post 226 in Brackenridge. He enjoyed traveling to the beach, model trains, music and showing his corvettes. Robert is survived by his wife of 34 years, Janice (Ramaley) Kepes, son, Ronald (Cindy) Kepes, of Sarver, grandchildren, Austin and Mackenzie Kepes and by his sister, Mary Anne (Michael) Calfe, of Brackenridge. Also survived by many nieces and nephews who will always remember his outstanding fun train platforms. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brothers, Louis and David Kepes.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 3-7 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church. Burial will be private.
