Robert Brooks

Robert Brooks, 81, of Natrona Heights, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017 in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. He was born September 8, 1936, in Natrona Heights to the late George and Elizabeth Andrews Brooks. Robert was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Air Force. He worked as a deliveryman for Country Bell Dairy for many years and finished his working career as a Salesman/Driver for Commercial Truck Parts, Inc. in New Alexandria. Robert was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed watching football, playing cards and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Robert is survived by his children, Brenda Sample and Robert Michael (Debi) Brooks, both of Clearwater, Florida; three grandchildren, Nicole (Calvin) Johnson, Kayla Sample and Kelsie (Skyler) Schmittou; nine great grandchildren; and by his sister, Connie (Rodney) Fouse, of Ford City. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Yvonne E. Lowe Brooks on December 24, 2012; brothers, Harold, William, James, Thomas, George, Gerald, Richard and David; and by his sisters, Gladys Muse, Margaret Austin, Helen Treasure and Emily Shihda.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4, 6-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St. Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where funeral ceremonies will be held on Friday at 11 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Matt Goetz. Burial with full military honor's accorded by the Vandergrift Veterans Honor Guard will be in Mt.
