Neal J. Fitzgerald Jr.

Neal J Fitzgerald Jr., 82, of Natrona Heights passed away peacefully at home on September 2, 2026 with his family by his side.

Born September 6, 1943 in New Kensington to the late Neal Sr and Ann (Munson) Fitzgerald.

Neal attended St. Joseph's grade school and was a 1962 graduate of New Kensington High School. While attending high school he was a member of the Naval Reserve.

Upon graduation he proudly went on to enlist and serve in the US Navy. Serving aboard the destroyer U.S.S. Laffey. The ship is now at the Patriots Point Maritime Museum, NC.

Neal retired from Allegheny Ludlum (ATI) Brackenridge as a lieutenant in plant protection/security.

Prior to ATI he was a part time police officer for Brackenridge Borough and a Pittsburgh National Bank collection/loan manager in the Greensburg and Jeannette branches. During his time at PNC Bank he was a Junior Achievement Bank Advisor for high school students in the Allegheny Valley area

In 1961 Neal met his future wife Estelle Stasia Sadulski at the Tarena. The two were married September 6th, 1965 in St. Ladislaus Church. Married 61 years filled with family, friends, travels, and his cherished granddaughters who kept him busy with school, sporting events, and years spent at Slippery Rock Campground

Neal was a member and past president of Freeport Sportsman Club, coordinator of the clubs Youth Field Days and Hunters Safety classes and a member of the pistol team, Brackenridge American Legion, Tarentum Masonic Lodge, and DAV, Natrona Heights.

Neal and Stasia enjoyed volunteering their time for many years at Allegheny Valley and St. Margaret's Hospitals. He was an usher at Blessed Sacrament Church.

Through the years Neal enjoyed spending time with his Aluminum City Terrace childhood friends, reading, walking, and playing cards.

Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Neal knew that he was an extremely kind, loving, gentle and peaceful person, and that family was his #1 priority 

Neal is survived by his wife, daughter, Kimberly (John) Radvan, granddaughters, Kristie (Derek) Jack, Tori Radvan (Fiance Shane Felix), and Jayme Radvan. Brother-in-Laws; Richard Sadulski and Alex Sadulski, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Neal was preceded in death by his son Neal J. Fitzgerald III in 2009 and by his sister Marlene (George) Daugherty.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 from 4-7 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688,  where a parting prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 Noon in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights.  Burial with full military honors accorded by the Vandergrift Veterans Honor Guard will be in Mt.
