Michael M. Mackerley, Sr.

Michael M. Mackerley Sr., 75, of Natrona Heights, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at St. Rose Dominican Hospital San Martin, Las Vegas. He was born January 21, 1942, in the District of Columbia to the late Joseph Q. and Margaret B. Poore Mackerley. Michael retired as an accountant from Allegheny Ludlum Steel in Brackenridge after over 30 years of service. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Natrona Heights. F &AM Masonic Lodge #239 in Freeport and past president and member of the Syria Shrine Caravan #16. Michael enjoyed gardening, target shooting, woodworking and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Michelle Mackerley, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Danielle (Todd) Crawford, of Natrona Heights and Michael (Robin) Mackerley Jr., of Las Vegas; and by his grandchildren, Dawnie Kay Baczynski, Maggie Mackerley, Brayden Mackerley, Twyla Crawford and Darian Crawford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Spohn Mackerley on October 12, 2012.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 7:00 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688. Officiating will be his pastor the Rev. Dawn Lynn Check. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetey, Natrona Heights. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Michael may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 1333 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, Pa. 15065.
