Michael A. Valasek

Michael A. Valasek, 88, of Natrona Heights, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. He was born March 30, 1929, in Natrona Heights to the late Stephen and Mary Gazdik Valasek. Mike retired from working in the boiler room at Allegheny Ludlum Steel in Brackenridge in 1986. He was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Parish in Natrona. Mike enjoyed cutting his grass, boating, sitting on his porch in Karns listening to the trains go bye and riding his golf cart to Bushman field. He is survived by his two daughters, Diane Valasek (Erin Bolte), of Natrona Heights and Sue Negley, of Natrona Heights; brother, John (Beverly) Valasek, of Sarver; sisters, Helen Kuslock and Veronica Peters, both of Tarentum; and by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his son, Daniel M. Valasek on January 31, 2016; brothers, Steve, Ernie, Frank, George, Joseph and Vincent Valasek; sister, Margaret Cornman; and by his son-in-law, Gary on November 1, 2017.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4, 6-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a blessing service will be held on Thursday at 10 AM.
