Mervin Eugene Witt

Mervin Eugene (Gene) Witt 80, of Natrona Heights went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, December 26th, 2018. Gene was born August 15, 1938 in Maxwell, Fayette County to the late Randall and Mary Mayhle Witt, and had lived in Western Pennsylvania his entire life. After graduating from Har-Brack High School, Gene served his country in the United States Navy as an Electronics Technician aboard the USS Ranger with assignments in California and the Pacific. Gene worked in the Tool & Die industry during his working career. He was also the Co-owner of the former On Target Archery Shop at the former Highlands Mall. He was an avid outdoorsman and spent many hours hunting and fishing with family and his closest friends throughout the years. Gene is survived by his wife Bonnie Witt; son, Gene (Peggy) Witt, with grandchildren Kaylie, Lucas and Vanessa, of Natrona Heights, step-son Brennen (Emily) Matthews with grand-children Mason and Madilynn, of Marietta, Georgia; sister, JoAnn Negley of Brackenridge; and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Kelly Ronald (Witt) and his sister, Juanita McKinney. Friends will be received on Saturday from 3-5 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights, PA, 724-224-8688. Burial will be private.
