Mary Ellen Jones

Mary Ellen (Salkeld) Jones, 76, of Natrona Heights passed away peacefully at home with her husband at her side on Monday, October 17, 2022.  She was born July 20, 1946, in Natrona Heights, a daughter of the late Leroy and Thelma (Shields) Salkeld.  Mary Ellen was a lifelong resident of Natrona Heights.  She was a 1964 graduate of Har-Brack High School.  Mary Ellen was a stay at home mom raising her three sons.  Shopping at the mall, reading a good book and caring for her family were her priorities.  Mary Ellen was a member of Center United Methodist Church and volunteered for many years at the information desk at Allegheny Valley Hospital.  Her memory will be cherished by her husband of 50 years,  Robert Jones, her sons, Barry (Christina) Jones, of Conifer, Colorado, John (Cathy) Jones, of Indiana, Pa. and Robert "BJ" (Laura) Jones, of Fairfax, Va., her 5 grandchildren and by her brother, John (Eileen) Salkeld, of Maryland.  In addition to her parents, Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her sister, Thelma "Tes" Arterburn.
