Martha O. Mason

Martha Olga (Masarik) Mason, 98, of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully at Concordia of Cabot on Monday July 14, 2025.

Martha was born February 28, 1927, in Natrona Heights to the late Joseph and Mary (Talda) Masarik. She was a 1945 graduate of St. Joseph High School. Martha was a devoted member of Guardian Angels Parish and Most Blessed Sacrament Church, serving as the President of the Ladies Guild and a participant in the Resurrection Choir. She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially traditional Slovak foods passed down from her Mother, teaching these skills to her children, nieces and grandchildren.

Martha is survived by her children, Gregory (Elaine) Mason, Mark Mason, Randall (Janice) Mason, Linda (Gary) O’Brien; grandchildren Michael Mason, Emily (Carl) Bridges, Christopher (Janelle) Mason, Alexander (Hannah) Mason, Daniel Manning, Alyssa (Matthew) Hillhouse, August (Alyssa Taylor) Mason; great-grandchildren Samwise Mason, Mason Bridges, Molly Mason, Vivienne Mason, Skye Hillhouse, Declan Mason, former daughter-in-law Pamela, brother Lawrence (Mary Ann) Masarik and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin E. Mason Jr. on April 21, 1979, grandson Matthew Mason, brothers Robert, John, twins Joseph and August (in infancy), sisters Valerie Mitchell, Sophie Kramarik, Mary Ann Misutka, and special spouses of her siblings.

Friends will be received on Sunday, July 20, 2025 from 3-6 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 21, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Church.
