Margaret H. Zidek

Margaret H. (Mazak) Zidek, 96, of Allegheny Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. She was born July 4, 1930 in North Vandergrift to the late Peter and Veronica (Pasterik) Mazak. Margaret was a graduate of Vandergrift High School class of 1948 and a proud homemaker. A devout Catholic, Margaret prayed her rosary faithfully. She enjoyed gardening, crossword and word search puzzles and baking. Margaret is survived by her children, Daniel (Deborah) Zidek, Nancy (Rick) Parrotta and Thomas (Deborah) Zidek, grandchildren, Matthew Zidek, Megan Zidek, Gina (Michael) Gilligan and Nicholas (Maria) Zidek, step grandchildren, Carmen, Jon (Kimberly) and Mario (Mary) Parrotta, step great-grandchildren, Rico, Santino, Eva, Mia, Gianna and Carmelo Parrotta and by her nephews. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Zidek on December 8, 2009, brother, Paul A. Mazak and sisters Agnes Kaminski and Amelia R. Sharp.

Friends will be received on Friday from 1-3, 5-8 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights. Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery, Gilpin Twp.
