Margaret Gaydac

Margaret Gaydac, formerly of Lower Burrell, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, at the remarkable age of 103.

Born in 1921 in Natrona, PA, to Matthew and Emilia Knasko Kovac, Margaret’s life was a testament to kindness, resilience, and love. Family was at the center of her world, and she took joy in every moment spent with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was an active member of St John’s Lutheran Church, dedicating her time to the ladies Alter Guild in serving God. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, quilting, and baking, always finding joy in sharing her talents with family and friends.

Margaret is survived by her children: Alan (Angie) Gaydac, Carol (Ralph) Barquin, John (Dana) Gaydac; her sister, Wilma Gonzalez; her grandchildren: Jennifer (Matt) Tucker, Jason (Ashley) Barquin, Erin Barquin, Ashley Gaydac, Evan (Silvia) Gaydac, Tyler (Taylor) Gaydac; and her great-grandchildren: Merrick Barquin, Kai Barquin, Haddi Tucker, Elliot Gaydac, Owen Gaydac, Logan Gaydac, and Lucas Gaydac. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the love, warmth, and generosity she shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of over 70 years, John Gaydac, Jr.; sisters, Ethel Huet and Amelia Filo; and brothers, Walt Kovac and John Kovac.

Friends will be received on Friday, October 10, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688.  Burial will follow in Mt.
