Marcella J. Simpson

Marcella J. "Marcy" (Mortimer) Simpson, 97, of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 19, 2025. She was born July 22, 1928, in Creighton to the late Clarence and Flora R. (Wyant) Mortimer. Marcy worked as a secretary for Highlands School District for 26 years. She was a member of the Janes United Methodist Church in Creighton, the YMCA in Natrona Heights and the United Methodist Women. Marcy enjoyed outdoor activities, walking and crossword puzzles. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Landfried, of Ross Township, son, Scott (Karla) Simpson, of Natrona Heights, grandsons, Ryan and Brad Simpson and by several nieces, nephews and many good friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. Simpson on December 9, 2025, brothers, Richard and James Mortimer and sisters, Doris Sadesky and Gertrude McLaughlin.

Friends will be received on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688.
