Karen (Conti) Schott

January 27, 1950 — January 21, 2022

Karen Conti Schott, 71, of Southpointe (formerly of Natrona Heights) passed away peacefully on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh with her family at her side. Karen’s greatest love was her family. Being a wife, mother, and grandmother were roles that gave her much pride and joy.
Karen was born in Natrona Heights, PA on January 27, 1950 to the late Vincent J. and Irma (Chapman) Conti. She was a 1968 graduate of Har-Brack High School and a 1970 graduate of Robert Morris University. She worked as a medical administrator for the Director of the Veterans Administration Hospital and for several other medical offices. Karen was a former member of Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights. She dedicated her free time to volunteering at Try Life Center, where she provided support to pregnant women in need. Karen was also passionate about conserving the monarch butterfly population. She grew milkweed then raised and released adult monarchs. She found profound beauty in nature through nourishing hummingbirds, and cultivating plants and flowers. She loved going to the beach with her children and grandchildren. Karen is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Glenn Schott Sr; children, Glenn Schott Jr. (Tiffany Salgado-Blue), Sarah Schott (Matt Williams), Jonathan Schott, and Katherine (Philip) Semplice and by her grandchildren, Emery and Andrew Schott, Vincent, James and Lucy Semplice, Cameron Williams, and Sophia and Cristiano Salgado. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her brother, Vincent J. Conti Jr.
