Joseph C. Stanisky, 78, of Natrona Heights, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017 in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born November 2, 1938, in Russellton to the late Joseph and Mary Murin Stanisky. Joseph was a veteran of the US Army Air Force. He worked as a C.P.A. for 40 years at his office, Stanisky & Company in Lower Burrell. Joseph was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights, Hillcrest Country Club in Lower Burrell, the A.I.C.P.A. and the P.I.C.P.A. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. Joseph is survived by his wife of 53 years, Geraldine Gaitinielli Stanisky; his sons, Daniel J. (Kelli) Stanisky, of South Buffalo Township and William J. Stanisky, of Oakmont; five grandchildren, Matthew, Makayla, Madison, Zoe and Caleb Stanisky; and by his brother, Ralph (Ginny) Stanisky, of Saxonburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Stanisky; and by his sisters, Marie Stanisky and Irene Bowen.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4, 6-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a blessing service will be held on Saturday at 9:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church with his pastor the Rev. John B. Lendvai as celebrant. Entombment will be in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery Mausoleum, Frazer Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Joseph may be made to St. Joseph High School, 800 Montana Avenue, Natrona Heights, Pa. 15065 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
