Joseph A. "Joey" Chilia, 51, of Natrona Heights, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021 in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born March 28, 1970, in Natrona Heights to Joseph M. and Vincenza (Martino) Chilia, of Natrona Heights. Joey was a 1988 graduate of Highlands High School. He worked as a machinist for Kiski Precision Industries, L.L.C. in Leechburg. Joey was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church of Guardian Angels Parish in Natrona Heights. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and especially time spent with his friends and family at his camp in Tionesta. In his younger years Joey enjoyed playing basketball and baseball. He is survived by his parents. Joseph M. and Vincenza (Martino) Chilia, of Natrona Heights; his brother, George Chilia, of Natrona Heights and by numerous cousins and friends. Joey was preceded in death by his brother, Carl J. Chilia on September 3, 1984.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a parting prayer service will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Church with his pastor the Rev. John B. Lendvai as celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. The family requests those attending that face coverings are optional .
