Joel R. Wells

Joel R. 'Skip' Wells, 84, of Natrona Heights, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights surrounded by his family. He was born June 5, 1933, in Tarentum to the late William and Elizabeth Schmerheim Wells. Skip retired after 42 years of service as a Labratory Technologist from Allegheny Ludlum Steel, Brackenridge. Skip was happiest when he was with his family and friends. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed gardening He is survived by his children, Greg L. (Debra) Wells, of Natrona Heights, Mary Beth (Kevin) Welsh, of Natrona Heights, Jennifer L. (John) Welsh, of Natrona Heights and Meg L. (James) Smith, of Natrona Heights; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and by his loving sister, Betty Wells, of Natrona Heights. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret DiCaro Wells and by his seven brothers.
