Joan L. (Hale) Maliszewski, 77, of Sarver, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on November 19, 1947, in New Kensington to the late Wilbur and Mildred (Rall) Hale.
Joan was known for her warmth, quick wit, and deep devotion to her family. A true Pittsburgher at heart, Joan was a lifelong Steelers fan and rarely missed a game. She had a passion for reading, and enjoyed quiet afternoons with a good book and a cup of coffee. One of her most cherished memories was a two-week vacation in Maui, Hawaii—a dream trip she often spoke of with joy.
Joan is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years, Ralph Maliszewski, and their children: Ralph (Jennifer) Maliszewski, Shane (Brandi) Maliszewski, and Nicole Robertson. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Stephanie Kaltenbaugh, Alexander Maliszewski, Blake Robertson, and Stetson Maliszewski.
She is also survived by her sister, Diane (Thomas) Besselman, and brother, Douglas Hale. In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her brother Harold “Bucky” Hale and sister Karen Hale.
Joan will be remembered for her unwavering love, her deep loyalty to those she cared about. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
