Jo-Ann (Homer) Uhing, 68, of Buffalo Township, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 6, 2026. She was born April 5, 1958, in Natrona Heights to the late Steve and Wanda (Topolski) Homer. Jo-Ann attended St. Joseph Elementary School and was a 1976 graduate of Highlands High School. where She was proud of her times as a majorette in the Highlands marching band and marched in the Macy's Thanksgiving parade. She worked as a bricklayer helper for Allegheny Ludlum Steel and later as a school bus driver for the Roenigk bus line. Jo-Ann was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church in Cabot. Jo-Ann cherished her time with her two grandchildren. Jo-Ann is survived by her husband of 47 years, Thomas E. Uhing, son, Joseph (Kristin) Uhing of West Mifflin and by her grandchildren, Finnegan and Benjamin Uhing. In addition to her parents, Jo-Ann was preceded in death by her sister, Marcia Homer.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a parting prayer service will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Church.
