Ida O. (Testerman) Grabigel

November 2, 1927 — December 19, 2017

Ida Ovella (Testerman) Grabigel, 90, of Tarentum, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Presbyterian Senior Care, The Willows, Oakmont. She was born November 2, 1927, in Big Sandy, West Virginia, to the late Fletcher Testerman and Mae Gillespie Testerman Sharp. Ida worked a variety of jobs in the area including working for Heights Plaza Materials, Inc., and Eat-N-Park. She was an extremely hard worker who sacrificed her life to raise her entire family on her own. Ida loved animals, enjoyed playing cards, especially pinochle and solitaire, and was a gardener who had a green thumb. She is survived by her children, Edward R. (Donna) Grabigel, of Natrona Heights, Mark A. (Tina) Grabigel, of Sharpsville, William David (Debra) Grabigel, of Chico, California, and Shirley J. Tishey, of Sarver, six grandchildren, Nicole (Kevin) Duffner, Marla (John) Drane, Nicaela (Michael) Oertel, Dean Grabigel, Alana Grabigel and Drew Grabigel, and by her 4 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Edward R. Grabigel, and by her sisters, Margaret Ann Lingenfelder and Evelyn Gibson.
Services and burial for Ida are private. Arrangements are under the care of the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Ida may be made to Presbyterian Senior Care, 1215 Hulton Road, Oakmont, Pa. 15139 or to Community Life, 702 2nd Avenue, Tarentum, Pa. 15084.
