Helen (Swain) Boyer, 96, of Natrona Heights passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, June 9, 2025 at her home. She was born September 5, 1928, in Natrona Heights to the late Louis and Cecilia (Romanowski) Swain. Helen was a 1947 graduate of Har-Brack High School and graduated from Miss Conley's Secretarial School in 1947. She worked for three years in the accounting department of Allegheny Ludlum Steel and retired after 25 years of service as a secretary for the Highlands School District. Helen was a lifelong member of Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church and a 40 year member of the former Brackenridge Heights Country Club. Helen enjoyed the theatre, reading, traveling and most important were Sunday family dinners and the time spent with her family. Helen is survived by her children, Amy (Steve) Meanor and Greg (Cathy) Boyer, grandchildren, T.J. (Susie) Meanor, Chad Meanor (Tabitha) and Sarah (C.J.) Bryant, great grandchildren, Audrey Meanor and Bennett Dean Bryant and by many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Boyer on March 8, 2012, son, Kevin Patrick Boyer in infancy, brothers, Ted and Ed Swain, sister, Wanda Nadybal and by nephews Dal Swain and Mark Swain.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of a blessing service at 1:00 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688. Burial will follow in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. Contributions in memory of Helen may be made to the Allegheny Valley Associations of Churches or to AHN Hospice Care at Home.
