Gail L. Baily

Gail L. Baily, 96, of Harrison Township, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Quality Life Services, Sugar Creek. Gail was born on October 20, 1924, in Vandergrift, to the late C. Raymond and Myrtle R. (Roberts) Lynch. As a teenager, she received the American Legion Award and graduated from Vandergrift High School in 1942. After finishing high school, she completed a Comptometer course at a Pittsburgh business school and worked in the cost accounting offices of Allegheny Ludlum's Bagdad Works, Leechburg. Gail married Arthur L. Baily, and electrical engineer. After her marriage, she became a full-time homemaker and mother of three. For several years in the 1980's, Gail was a devoted babysitter for three boys. In retirement, Gail and Arthur enjoyed watching dramatic television programs and game shows together. Gail was a first grade Sunday school teacher and member of the Natrona Heights Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her three children, A. Scott Baily, Victoria J. Baily and Colleen L. Baily, all of Harrison; and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. Baily; three brothers, Charles Lynch, Jack Lynch, and James Lynch; and three sisters, Helen Lyons, Jean Summerville and Joan Narduzzi.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, there will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., Natrona Heights. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Gail may be made to the Community Library of Allegheny Valley, 1522 Broadview Blvd., Natrona Heights, Pa. 15065.
