Frank J. Pajewski

Frank J. 'Pie' Pajewski, 94, of Natrona Heights, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016, in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. He was born August 9, 1922, in Natrona, a son of the late Steve T. and Frances C. Sypucinski Pajewski. Frank had lived in the area all of his life. Frank was a 1941 graduate of Har-Brack High School. He had worked at Allegheny Ludlum Steel in the 8-3 Department as a mold prep, retiring after 43 years of service. Frank had served in the Navy during WWII. He was a member of Holy Martyrs Parish, in Tarentum and the American Legion Post 48, in Natrona. Frank enjoyed woodworking and home remodeling, and especially playing euchre. He was also an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. Surviving are his son, William 'Bill' Pajewski, of Natrona Heights, with whom he lived; daughters, Patricia Sober, of Natrona Heights, Phyllis (Tom) Rapsinski, of Sarver, and Mary Arturo, of Natrona Heights; daughter-in-law, Jacque Hranica, of Fort Mill, S.C.; 11 grandchildren, Jeanne Hranica, Jim (Teresa) Hranica, Jodi (Chris) Hummer, Lin (Doug) Monardo, Douglas (Kim) Sober, Chad Sober, Rosalyn Rapsinski, Amy (Darren) Vtipil, Kristin Rapsinski, Gianina Arturo and her fiance, Brian Gillen, and Angelina (Ben) Smith; great grandchildren, Demee (Andrew) Kronenberger, Michael Hranica, Megan Sober, Mitchell Sober and Carmella Vtipil; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ethel (Vojtecky) Hranica Pajewski in 2003; son, John Hranica; and by his two brothers, Joseph and John Pajewski.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4, 6-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, where a blessing service will be held on Wednesday at 9:15 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM in Holy Martyrs Church with his pastor the Rev. Thomas Gillespie, MD as celebrant. Burial with full military honors accorded by the Tarentum VFW and Brackenridge American Legion will be in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Frank may be made to the American Legion Post 48, 59 Garfield St., Natrona, Pa. 15065
