Dona L. Friel

Dona L. (Holmes) Friel, 77, of Arnold, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Friday, October 27, 2023. She was born June 15, 1946, in New Kensington to the late Donald P. and Georgene (Allen) Holmes. Dona was a 1964 graduate of Ken High. She worked for over 20 years as a secretary for the New Kensington Arnold School District. Dona was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church in New Kensington. She was an avid Steeler fan and enjoyed watching her grandchildrens sporting events. Dona is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jack W. Friel, son, Scott (Stephanie) Friel, of Beaver Springs, grandchildren, Mason and Addison Friel, sister, Debroah (David) Hanna, of New Kensington, nephews, Devin (Joy) Hanna and Justin (Lane) Friel and by her nieces, Erin Hanna and Heather (Shawn) VanRisio. Dona's family would like to thank the nurses of AHN Hospice, Jamie, Catlin, Carlie and Andrea for their care and support.
