Deborah "Debby" Richter

Jun 27, 1958 — Sep 15, 2026

Deborah “Debby” Richter, 68, of Fawn Township, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at her home. Debby was born June 27, 1958, in New Kensington, to the late Roy E. Mitchell Jr. and Donna (Scherf) Mitchell. She was a 1976 graduate of Highlands High School and dedicated the last 13 years of her working career to Jennmar where she took great pride in the work she did and the friendships and connections she made.

Debby was one of the most loving, caring and selfless people anyone could know. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she devoted herself wholeheartedly to those she loved. Throughout the years, she cared for her husband, two sons and their families, and recently her mother. She was the person everyone could count on - always willing to lend a helping hand, putting others before herself, and rarely, if ever, saying no to anyone.

Above all else, Debby cherished being a loving mother, and grandmother. She could most often be found spending time with her grandchildren, Garrett and Lydia, and her grand dogs, Beau, Abby and Benny making memories and enjoying simple moments that meant so much to her. Her generosity, compassion, and unwavering love touched the lives of countless people, and she will be remembered for the warmth and kindness she gave so freely.

Debby is survived by her mother, Donna Mitchell of Natrona Heights; her husband of 49 years, Robert Richter of Natrona Heights; her two sons, Chad Richter and his wife, Kristen, of Sarver and Randy Richter and his wife, Heather, of Sarver; her two cherished grandchildren, Garrett and Lydia Richter; her brothers, William “Bill” Sr. Mitchell and Roy A. Mitchell and her sister, Diane Zewe.

Debby is preceded in death by her father, Roy E. Mitchell Jr.

Debby’s greatest legacy will be the love she gave to her family and the countless ways she cared for those around her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
