Deborah Lynne (Johnson) Genito, 66, of Lower Burrell, passed away in her home on Wednesday, December 28, 2016. Debbie was born June 27, 1950, in Natrona Heights, to the late Ralph and Martha Sorenson Johnson. Debbie's world revolved around her family. She was a devoted mother to her daughters, Kristen Walker and Shelley Eberle. Her grandsons, Ethan and Dylan Eberle, were the light of her life and she never missed an event or an opportunity to cuddle with them. Debbie also took great pride in her sons-in-law, John Walker and Mark Eberle. She derived immeasurable joy from spending time with her best friends and siblings, Barbara Johnson, William Johnson and Bill's wife Joanne. She was a loving and supportive aunt to her three nephews, Aaron (Gretchen) , Adam, and Ryan (Leslie) Johnson. She was a faithful niece to her aunts, Gladys Sorenson and Wilma Petit. In addition, she will be greatly missed by her cousins, and many friends, especially Melanie Kauffman and Carolyn Sutton. Debbie's passion for art and education was a gift she shared with many as a teacher in the Burrell School District for 25 years until her retirement in 2016. Debbie took great pride in her work and always strove to have her students explore their creative gifts. Debbie loved the beach, reading mysteries, and spending time with friends. June was her favorite month of the year, and she approached her retirement as an 'endless summer vacation.' Debbie had a great sense of style and was always the life of any party, no matter whether she was hosting or just a guest.
