Connie Jean Santi, 82, of Brackenridge, passed away on Wednesday September 11th 2024 after a couragous battle with cancer surround by her family. Connie was born August 10th 1942 in New Kensington PA to the late Thomas "Russell" and Carrie (Drew) Heckman.
Connie lived most of her life and raised her 5 children in Brackenrige PA. Connie was employed for the past 35 years until her retirement in June 2024 at Highlands School District as a food service worker "lunch lady" where she treated each child like her own and made life long friends. Connie previously worked at East Deer Personal Care Home as a cook.
You could always find Connie in a garden whether it was tending to her beautiful flower gardens or growing her vegetable gardens. She enjoyed baking, canning, she loved to travel especially to Walt Disney World in Florida. She was an animal lover and an avid Pittsburgh sports fan rarely missing a Pirate, Penguins or Steelers Game.
She was most proud of her family, she was their number one fan and spent celebrating their accomplishments, cheering them on at their sporting events or activites. She was a great mom, a great grammy and great mammay, she will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents Connie is preceeded in death by her infant son Roger Lee Deiseroth Jr. and a brother David Heckman.
Survivors include her daughters Lisa (Deiseroth) Hahn of Lower Burrell, Regina Santi of New Kensington, sons Scott Deiseroth of Tarentum, Jodie (Megan) Deiseroth of Natrona Heights and Charles "Jay" Santi of Strasburg, VA. Seven Grandchildren; Jaime, Ryan, Jason, Abbie, Scotty, Shane and Autumn and 4 great grandchildren. Her sisters Jane Deiseroth and Lola Klingensmith and brother Richard Heckman.
Friends will be received on Monday from 3-7 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where funeral ceremonies will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Cathy Blythe.
