Chester Dudiak, 96, of Cabot, formerly of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 11, 2023. He was born July 16, 1927, in Brackenridge to the late Peter and Mary (Ploszaj) Dudiak. Chester was a 1944 graduate of Har-Brack High School. He served aboard the USS Doyle, during WWII and was discharged in 1946 out of Camp Shoemaker. Chester retired in 1987 after 41 years of service from Allegheny Ludlum Steel, Brackenridge. He was the former co-owner of the Riverside Bar in Brackenridge. Chester was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Campus, Pioneer Hose Volunteer Fire Company, Bull Creek Rod & Gun Club and the Allegheny Valley Western Pa. Firemen Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons at his camp in Warren County. Chester also enjoyed swimming, traveling and especially fishing and playing cards with his wife. Chester is survived by his wife of 74 years, Helen Dudiak, children, Miriam Fedorko, of Amelia Island, Fl., Joseph (Linda), of Clayton, NY., Robert (Susan), of Amelia Island, Fl., and John, of Deerfield Beach, Fl., grandchildren, Brian (Christina), Maureen (Jeff) Morse, Adrienne (Kody) Schumm, Eric (Lauren) and Christopher (Jess), great-grandchildren, Ethan, Mitchell, Julia, William, James, June, Ada, Lilah, sister, Steffie Barent and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Chester was preceded in death by his sisters, Frances Kukowski and Genevieve Dudiak and by his son-in-law, Fred Fedorko.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a parting prayer service will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Campus with his pastor the Rev. John B. Lendvai as celebrant. Entombment will be in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Township, with full military honors accorded by the Vandergrift Veterans Honor Guard..
