Bessie "Sue" (Craig) Elnora Rykaczewski, 84, of Buffalo Township, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
Born on June 10, 1942, in Saxonburg, she was the beloved daughter of the late Ralph and Bessie (Baldwin) Craig. Sue dedicated her career to caring for others as a Registered Nurse for many years, including serving as a community nurse for the Alle-Kiski Health Foundation. Outside of her professional life, she found great joy in gardening in her backyard.
Above all, Sue’s greatest pride and joy was her family. She was whole-heartedly devoted to her grandchildren, never missing an opportunity to be involved in their lives, or celebrate their accomplishments. Her warmth, wisdom, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Sue is survived by her loving children, Michael (Susan) Rykaczewski of Valencia, and Kristine (Anthony) Aulicino of Buffalo Township; her daughter-in-law, Jean Rykaczewski; her grandchildren, Megan (Srikant) Das, Alison (Ethan) Williams, Michael (Yuval) Rykaczewski Jr., Jessica (Alex) Carson, Anthony (Jayne) Aulicino, and Matthew Aulicino; her great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Emily, Sadie, Brooke, Ben, Sadie, Wells, and Anthony V; her brother, Donald "Skip" Craig; and her sisters, Dixie Watt and Rosemary Lacey.
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years Fred R. Rykaczewski, on February 12, 2021; her sister, Connie Glowatski; her son, Dennis Rykaczewski; and her grandchildren, Craig Rykaczewski and Jennifer Aulicino.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 10;30 a.m. at the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688. Burial will follow in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
