Andrea (Barczykowski) Schneider, 49, of Pittsburgh, passed away unexpectedly at home of natural causes on Thursday, February 25, 2021.
She was born July 21, 1971 in Natrona Heights to Ronald Barczykowski and the late Patricia (Crawford) Barczykowski.
Andrea was a graduate of Highlands High School and the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in English.
Andrea is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 13 years, Joseph Schneider; her canine daughter, Cookie; her father, Ronald; her in-laws, Jeffrey and Sylvia Schneider of Tarentum; her brother, Matthew (Laura) Barczykowski, of Lower Burrell; her sister-in-law, Lydia Barczykowski, of Tarentum; her brother-in-law, Justin Schneider, of Tarentum; her grandmothers-in-law, Cora Schneider, of Cabot and Vera Zilka, of Fawn Township; her nieces, Danielle (Tony) Sgambati, of Harmarville; Lauryn Schneider, of Tarentum; Dana and Megan Barczykowski, of Lower Burrell; her nephew, Mitchell Barczykowski and his Fiance Erica Higgs, of Natrona Heights; her grand-nephew Frank Sgambati, of Harmarville, and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Andrea was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia, and by her brother, Steve Barczykowski, of Tarentum.
At Andrea's request and to ensure the safety of friends and family there will be no public visitation. There will be a gathering in the vein of an Irish wake to celebrate her life at some point in the future. She would have enjoyed as many friends and family as possible to gather and enjoy each other in her name.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Cross Your Paws animal rescue (www.crossyourpaws.com) are welcome as they enabled the adoption of Cookie who had given Andrea so much joy in recent months. To send an online condolence please visit www.cicholski-zidekfh.com.
