Amelia R. (Mazak) Sharp, 91, of Leechburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 surrounded by family. She went to spend her eternal life with our Lord and Savior. She was born May 10, 1934, in North Vandergrift to the late Peter and Veronica (Pasterik) Mazak. Millie worked for over 40 years at the Donghia Lumber Company in Vandergrift. She was a member of Christ the King Parish in Gilpin Township. She was strong in her Catholic faith with her rosary beads always close at hand. Millie is survived by her two sons, Patrick (Barb) and Joe (Melissa), grandchildren, Nathan, Megan, Drew and Jackson Sharp and Calvin White, sister, Margaret Zidek and numerous supportive nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Milton W. "Pete" Sharp, son, Peter J. Sharp, brother, Paul A. Mazak and sister Agnes Kaminski. Her family is forever grateful to The Sisters of Mary Immaculate, her adopted family at Bishop Morrow Home for the dedicated and tender care they gave Millie over the last 7 years
Friends will be received on Sunday from 5-8 p.m. in the Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 300 Market Street, Leechubrg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Parish with her pastor the Rev. Alan Polczynski as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery, Gilpin Township. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Millie may be offered to the Bishop Morrow Personal Care Home, 118 Park Road, Leechburg, Pa. 15656.
