Alice M. Pagliarulo

Alice Marie (Pastrick) Pagliarulo, 83, of Kittanning, formerly of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 25, 2026.  She was born April 9, 1943, in Gibsonia to the late Joseph and Stephana (Shurman) Pastrick.  Alice attended Pine Richland Elementery School and St. Xavier's in Latrobe and graduated from Pine Richland High School. She received her Bachelor of Science in education from Waynesburg University in 1965, where she was President of the Alphi Pi Soroity.  Alice received her Masters of Education from the University of Pittsburgh and a certification as a reading specialist.  She began her teaching career at Butler Junior High School and retired in 1996 after 30 years from the Highlands School District, where she taught English and Reading.    While at Highlands she was the Vice President of the Highlands Education Association.  Alice was a member of Guardian Angels Parish in Natrona Heights.  Alice was proficient in sewing and made countless pictures and clothing using the duplicate stich sewing which she learned from her neighbor Mary Lou Sinclair.  She was a member of the Highlands Dinner Club where she was taught various ethnic recipes and helped organize dinner parties for family and friends. Alice enjoyed reading and spent many summers at the beach reading by the ocean.

Alice is survived by her husband, Philip Pagliarulo.  In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her sister, Val Jean Hockenberry.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights.  Burial will follow in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Twp.  Arrangements are under the care of the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688.  To send an online condolence please visit www.cicholski-zidekfh.com.
