Valerie L. Smith

Valerie L. Smith, 45, of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Friday, March 8, 2024. She was born December 18, 1979 in Okinawa, Japan to Margaret E. "Margie" (Lingenfelter) Smith, of Natrona Heights and the late Robert J. Smith. Valerie was a 1997 graduate of Swansboro High School in Jacksonville, North Carolina. She moved back to Natrona Heights with her family in 2014. Valerie worked as a secretary for the law firm of Brumbaugh, Mu and King in North Carolina and recently worked at Tru Foods in O'Hara Township. She was of the Catholic faith. Valerie enjoyed crocheting, going to concerts and was an avid North Carolina Tar Heel and Pittsburgh Penguin fan. In addition to her mother, Valerie is survived by her brothers, Robert Patrick (Tina) Smith, of Natrona Heights and Steven Thomas (Gean) Smith, of Creekside, nephews, Scott (Alicia) Smith, Xavier Smith and Daniel Smith, nieces, Brittany Smith (fiance, Cole Bouch) and Izabelle Smith, great nephews, Landon, Owen and Carter, great niece Malia and by several aunts, uncle's and cousins.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a blessing service at 12 noon in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688. Officiating will be the Rev. Andrew Fischer. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Valerie may be made to her family.
