Robert L. Robbins

Robert L. Robbins, 81, of Natrona Heights, passed away in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. He was born on June 2, 1939, in Summerville to the late Clarence R. and Beverly M. (Smith) Robbins. Robert served his county in the U.S. Army as a Surveillance Radar Operator. He retired in 2005 from the The Children's Institute of Pittsburgh. Robert also served his community as a former Tarentum Councilman for many years. Through the years, Robert and Adelaide were foster parents for many children. He enjoyed camping, woodworking, carpentry, gardening and baking. Robert is survived by his children, Terri (Robert) Artman, of Tarentum, Brian Robbins, of Natrona Heights, Laurie Ann (David) Alva, of Jacksonville, North Carolina and Christopher Robbins, of Natrona Heights; grandchildren, Jared (Katie) Robbins, Amanda Robbins, Valerie Artman, Laura Artman, Megan Artman, Isaiah Robbins and Stephanie Smith; great-grandchildren, Marleigh and Maddox Robbins and by his brothers, Charles (Shirley) Robbins, of Verona and Michael (Regina) Robbins, of Thornton, Colorado. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Adelaide (Dan) Robbins on October 4, 2002; his son, James Robbins on September 29, 2005 and by his brothers, David and Paul Robbins.


Friends will be received on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where funeral ceremonies will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Rob Wilson. Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park, Indiana Township.
