Norma Jean Henry

Norma Jean McNutt Henry of Lower Burrell died March 20, 2022, at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was a resident of the Alle-Kiski Valley all her life, except for the four years she lived in California
during the 1960s.
Mrs. Henry was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Natrona Heights.
She was a graduate of East Deer Frazer High School and Allegheny Valley Hospital School of Nursing,
where she received a full scholarship. At the time, she was the youngest person to ever pass the
Pennsylvania State Nursing Board exam on the first try. She worked in Obstetrics at AVH after
graduation, and at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles. Her career as an RN concluded upon becoming a
mother.
Norma’s children and grandchildren were the joys of her life.
Her hobbies included doll collecting and home decorating. She enjoyed traveling and her dream vacation
to Hawaii was realized as a 30th wedding anniversary trip.
She was the daughter of the late Russell W. and Martha M. Thompson McNutt.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Keith D. Henry; her children, Jana (Barry) Stimmell of
Allegheny Township, Jamie (Jeffrey) Tinnemeyer of Lower Burrell, Jeffrey (Kristin) Henry of Clinton
Township, and Jill (Jonathan) Szish of Lower Burrell; ten grandchildren: Elizabeth, Anthony, Andrew,
Daniel and Zechariah Stimmell, Justin (Emily) Tinnemeyer, Jaclyn (Tyler) Harris, Nora Henry, and
Benjamin and Adam Szish; and her brother, James (Elinore) McNutt of Tennessee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Natalie Marie Stimmell.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Grace United Methodist Church, Natrona Heights. Officiating will be the Rev. Diane Curry Randolph. Burial will be private. The family requests that guests please wear masks to the visitation and funeral service.
