Marie (Moore) Factor

Marie (Moore) Factor, 85, of Natrona, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2017 in the home of her daughter, Karen and son-in-law Richard Thomas, where she was in hospice care in New York. She was born February 10, 1931, in Natrona to Patrick and Helen (Welsh) Moore. She was of the Christian faith and lived most of her life in Natrona. Marie was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler and Pirate fan. She enjoyed cooking, singing, playing cards, bowling, reading a good book and laughter. What gave her the most enjoyment was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a very giving person and her home was open to all. Our friends were always welcome. Her famous saying 'I'm gonna laugh till I cry and live till I die'. Our mother and father loved this country and were very patriotic and respectful of our veterans. Marie was a wonderful mother to six children, Terry (Becky) Factor, Rose Ann (John) Harrocks, Helen (Jeffrey) Brewer, Mary Lynn (David) Hewitt, Karen (Richard) Thomas and John (Patricia) Factor; 10 grandchildren, Shannon (Jason) McGee, John (Maura) Harrocks, Jesse and Noah Factor, Brian and Katie Brewer, Sarah and Joshua Hewitt, Forrest and Guil Factor; 6 great grandchildren, Drew, Makayla, Jordan, Solomon, Judah and Jackson; They all knew her as 'Granny Biffer'. Marie is also survived by her brother, Joseph Moore, of Lower Burrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Sylvester (Spro) Factor; brothers, Ed, Terry, Patrick and Michael Moore; sisters, Catherine, Helen, Rose and Patricia; and by her great grandson, Drew, who was two years old.
Family and friends will be received Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 12-3:00 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688. A private service will follow for the family only. Officiating will be the Rev. Jeff Youell. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Marie may be made to Chautauqua Hospice, 20 West Fairmont Avenue, Lakewood, New York 14750.
