Lorraine M. Scovern

Lorraine M. (Marcelli)  Scovern, 95, of Brackenridge, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at the Embassy of Saxonburg. She was born July 14, 1928, in Brackenridge, a daughter of the late Vitalino and Theresa (Frederick) Marcelli. She is a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Campus in Natrona Heights and a former teacher's aid at Highlands School District for 25 years. Lorraine enjoyed crafts, loved dogs and cats, and baking especially around the holidays as she was known for her Christmas cookies. Lorraine is survived by her daughters, Donna (Kenneth) Bart, of Natrona Heights, Betty Scovern, of Brackenridge, granddaughter, Jessica Scovern of Brackenridge, sister, Marlene Krasinsky, of Brackenridge, brother, Dr. Rudy E. (Carol) Marcelli, of Altoona and by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Lorraine is preceded in death by her husband, Gustave Scovern, daughter, Judith Scovern.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of a parting prayer service at 11:30 a.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 Noon in Most Blessed Sacrament Campus.  Burial will be in Mt.
