Karen Conti Schott, 71, of Southpointe (formerly of Natrona Heights) passed away peacefully on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh with her family at her side. Karen’s greatest love was her family. Being a wife, mother, and grandmother were roles that gave her much pride and joy.

She was a 1968 graduate of Har-Brack High School and a 1970 graduate of Robert Morris University. She worked as a medical administrator for the Director of the Veterans Administration Hospital and for several other medical offices. Karen was a former member of Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights. She dedicated her free time to volunteering at Try Life Center, where she provided support to pregnant women in need. Karen was also passionate about conserving the monarch butterfly population. She grew milkweed then raised and released adult monarchs. She found profound beauty in nature through nourishing hummingbirds, and cultivating plants and flowers. She loved going to the beach with her children and grandchildren.
