Judith V. (Smith) Raney, 57, of Natrona, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 11, 2022. She was born November 17, 1965 in Carson City, Nevada a daughter of the late Bill and Martha (Salmon) Smith. Judy was the owner of the Raney Day Learning Center in Creighton and also worked as a clerk at the Vandergrift Post Office. She was a member of Jane's United Methodist Church in Creighton. Judy just loved working with all the kids at her learning center and spending time with her family. Judy is survived by her husband of 30 years, Jeffrey Raney; her son, Zachary Raney, at home; her sister in-law, Jill (Matt) Roberts, of Arnold; and by her two nephews, Matthew and Dylan Roberts. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill Smith, Glen Smith and Roger Leighton.


Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 pm and from 6:00 pm until the time of service at 8:00 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Judy may be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 13770 Noel Road, Suite 801889, Dallas, TX. 75380.
