Joseph C. Marino Jr.

September 7, 1954 — December 29, 2020

After one tough fight with Cancer, Joseph C. Marino Jr. our beloved “Poppy” of Sarver (formerly of
Natrona Heights) went to walk with the Lord on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. He passed away in his
home surrounded by his family. A Brackenridge native, he was a 1972 graduate of Highlands High
School, studied at Youngstown State University and was a member of the PHI KAPPA TAU fraternity. Joe
retired as a finishing department supervisor from Allegheny Ludlum after 30 years of service. He also
worked as the Zoning Officer for 8 years in Harrison Township. However, the most important role to him
was that of a family man.
A loving husband, father and grandfather of 9, he enjoyed coaching football and baseball, and also
playing golf and watching Pittsburgh sports teams. Though quiet, Joe was a listener, problem solver, and
supporter to both family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
Joe is survived by: his loving wife, Rory Marino and his children; Katy (Bill) Gangloff, (Ava, Sara, Emma,
Iyla, John), Kristy (Daniel) Skradski (Deegan, Cassidy), and Kelly Marino(Dan Hanlon) (Zakary, Gabriel); His
in-laws Rand and Dee Dee Danko, Dear friends Coleen and Ernie Armor, and many other wonderful
family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph C. and Villia (Stanzione) Marino Sr., sister, Lori Ann Marino,
and In-laws Charles and Rosemary Danko.
