Helen S. (Minarik) Pucko

Helen S. (Minarik) Pucko, 92, of Natrona Heights, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. She was born February 16, 1926, in Hvozdnica, Slovakia to the late John and Veronika Guydosh Minarik. During WWII, Helen worked at PPG in Creighton and later worked in the housekeeping department at Allegheny Valley Hospital for 20 years retiring in 1996. She was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights. Helen enjoyed plaing bingo and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Gloria (Edward) Wygonik, of Lower Burrell; grandchildren, Kristen (David) Pierce and Edward (Shannon) Wygonik; great grandchildren, Jack, Luke & Addisyn Pierce and Lauren, Ava and Elias Wygonik; brother, Joseph (Vicky) Minarik, of Tarentum; and by her sisters, Toni Horan, of Natrona Heights, Jean (Ronald) Ferdig, of Lower Burrell, Millie Cook, of Natrona Heights and Judy (Jeff) Pacek, of Brackenridge. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen P. Pucko on March 2, 1976; brother, Steven Minarik and by her sister, Philomena Potocnak. Helen's family would like to thank the staff's at Concordia Lutheran Ministries and Allegheny Valley Hospital for their care and support.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 3-7 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc. 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a blessing service will be held on Monday at 11:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 Noon in Most Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
