Grace L. (Campbell) Fox, 81, of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, at Applewood Personal Care Home, Brackenridge. She was born Sept. 30, 1934, in New Kensington, a daughter of the late William P. and Louise Dobrzynski Campbell Sr. Grace was a 1956 graduate of Allegheny Valley Hospital School of Nursing with her RN license. She worked as a registered nurse for 38 years at Allegheny Valley Hospital in the ICU, CCU and ER departments and for the IV team before retiring. Grace was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights, Ambassador Club, Resurrection Choir and member and a past president of the Christian Mothers. She was also a member of the Highlands Senior Citizens Center, the historian and a past president of the Brackenridge American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and a volunteer at Allegheny Valley Hospital. Grace enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling, crocheting, crafts, loved feeding the wildlife that would come into her yard and she especially enjoyed and loved her family. She is survived by her children, Deborah L. (Regis) Kennihan, of Sarver, and Hugh W. (Carrie) Fox III, of Tarentum; five grandsons, Jacob Richards, Aaron (Charlene) Richards, Caleb Richards, Joshua (Jennifer) Fox and Jeremy Fox; four great-grandchildren, Chloe, Rylie and Lilly Fox and Luella Grace Richards; brother, John D. (Gladys) Campbell, of Arnold; sister-in-law, Helen Campbell, of Arnold; and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh W. Fox, on Aug. 26, 1978; and by her brothers, Robert J. Campbell and William P. Campbell Jr.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, 724-224-8688, where a blessing service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Church with her pastor, the Rev. James Mazurek, as celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
