Florence M. Nowicki

Florence M. (Modzelewski) Nowicki, 89, of Natrona Heights, passed away at home peacefully with her family at her side on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. She was born August 11, 1933, in West Natrona, a daughter of the late Joseph J. and Martha M. (Glowacki) Modzelewski Sr. Florence was a 1951 graduate of Har-Brack High School. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Loynd and Lindquist Insurance Agency. Florence was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Natrona Heights and a member of the Rosary Society of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed going for drives, family vacations and family reunions. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Richard V. Nowicki, children, Carol Vicker, of North Ogden, UT., Richard V. (Sherri) Nowicki, Jr., of Greensburg and Joanne Campbell, of Natrona Heights, grandchildren, Erika Vicker, Meg (Mike) Ringler, Matthew (Stef) Nowicki, Stephen (Shelby) Vicker, Eric (Becki Barrett) Nowicki and Victoria Vicker (fiance, Colton Wayment) and by her great grandchildren, Hayden and Dominic. In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Kurt Vicker, brothers, Richard B. "Little Mo" , Edward F. "Big Mo", Joseph J. and Eugene D. Modzelewski and her sister, Betty Lou Logan.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a parting prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Campus with her pastor the Rev. John B. Lendvai as a celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
