Elaine Calligan

Elaine (McLachlan) Calligan, 88, of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot. She was born August 24, 1934, in Natrona Heights a daughter of the late Richard and Irene (Nowicki) McLachlan. Elaine was a 1952 graduate of Har-Brack High School. She is a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Campus in Natrona Heights and a Past President of the Junior Women's Club. Elaine enjoyed playing cards, belonging to many bridge clubs and she especially enjoyed attending all of her grandchildren's events. Elaine is survived by her husband of 70 years, John Calligan, children, Christopher (Debbie) Calligan, of Natrona Heights, Scott (Marian) Calligan, of Evans City and Susan (Daniel) Taylor, of Plum, daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Calligan, of Natrona Heights, grandchildren, Ian (Katherine) Calligan, Natalie (Tyler) Gourley, Eliott (Nhi) Calligan, Sarah (Zack) Rice, Marissa ( Dr. Bradley) Bakst, Bryan (Rachel) Calligan, Devan Taylor and McKaley Taylor and by 7 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her son, Terry Calligan.

Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a parting prayer service will be held on Saturday at 12 noon. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:30 in Most Blessed Sacrament Campus with her pastor the Rev. John B. Lendvai as celebrant. Burial will be private.
